Dzobak Volodymyr Dzobak Volodymyr

Human Rights Watch: Insurgents of Donbas kidnap medical workers and seize ambulance vehicles

Militants of Donbas kidnap medical workers, rob and destroy medical equipment in hospitals and literally deprive local population of opportunities to receive medical care, International human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported on Thursday according to the Radio Liberty.

In addition, experts of Human Rights Watch pointed out at seizing ambulance vehicles by separatists and using them to their own use. Human rights activists affirmed at least 4 such cases.

The organization points to the fact that attempts to endanger the lives of medical workers and patients during armed conflicts are a flagrant violation of international law.

According to information provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, hundreds of people were killed, and more than a thousand wounded in the period from mid-April to the end of July in the East of Ukraine.

Saboteurs preparing terrorist attacks have been arrested in the city of Zhytomyr

State Security Service agents arrested several spies in Zhytomyr on the night of 4-5 August, the National Security and Defence Council announced earlier today.

According to the report, a group of saboteurs planned to commit several terrorist attacks.

It consisted of Ukrainian citizens hired by the Russian national intelligence agency.

More than 8 kg of home-made explosives were seized from the arrested men. The detainees are giving testimony now.

Tymchuk: Russia provides terrorists with modern weapons

Ukraine has some evidence on Russia's provision of modern weapons for terrorists in the east of Ukraine, the head of the group "Information resistance" Dmytro Tymchuk reported on Tuesday.

"Taking into consideration that Dragunov sniper rifles have never been purchased by Ukraine, they could have been delivered to Donbas only illegally. No telescopic sights for sniper rifles ... have ever been bought by Ukraine, and the Army of Ukraine has never had them at its disposal," he added.

According to Tymchuk, Russia continues to supply terrorists with serious weapons.

"There is still an open question, where militants get those Strela-10Ms from, as well as notorious anti-aircraft missile complexes called Buk, even though terrorists, as we all know, deny their existence", said Tymchuk.

“Some boxes previously used as packages for PZRs have been found at positions abandoned by terrorists. There were papers in those boxes dated 12 April 2014 (the time of the last examination carried out) confirmed by the stamp of a military unit situated in Yeysk (a resort town in Krasnodar Krai region, Russia)", he added.

“Some new troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been detected in Russian border regions”, Lysenko reported.

"The total number of Russian troops gathered along the state border constitutes about 45 thousand people, as well as 160 tanks, 1360 armoured vehicles, up to 350 artillery systems, 130 volley fire systems, 192 combat aircraft, 137 helicopters", the spokesman for the National Security Council stated.

Lysenko reiterated, “The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has started yet another military exercise with more than 100 combat jets involved. Ukraine regards such unprecedented military exercises on its border with Russia as a provocation".
