Russian court of law has refused to release the Ukrainian pilot Nadiya
The Voronezh regional court dismissed an appeal filed by the Ukrainian head of pleading and left the pilot Nadiya Savchenko under arrest until 30 August having refused to set her free on bail, UNIAN reports with a reference to its correspondent in Russia.
Savchenko's lawyers Mark Feigin and Mykola Polozov filed a protest during the last session recognising her detention as illegal. Notably, it was announced that the lawsuit uses the following inept formulation of the fact: "crime" was allegedly committed in the territory of the PRL meaning a terrorist organization that is not a subject of international law.
In addition, her lawyer Polozov accented that Savchenko had forcibly and illegally been kept in custody since June 30 in Russian territory and she had been illegally transferred from Ukrainian territory; she was questioned with no lawyer present, no interpreter. The Consul of Ukraine was not initially able to get a permission to see her.
