Tymchuk: The rebels violated the truce more than 50 times in the past 24 hours

The militants of Donbas attacked ATO forces more than 50 times in the past 24 hours; Donetsk airport was assaulted more than 4 times, Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on his  Facebook Wall on the morning of October 13.

"In the past 24 hours, Russian and terrorist troops violated ceasefire more than 50 times", he writes.

"At least 10 shell strikes were conducted by BM-21 Grad volley fire systems on positions of ATO forces". The insurgents also used machine-guns, mortars, cannons, and tanks", Tymchuk adds.

"Uncontrolled terrorist paramilitaries repeatedly shelled positions of ATO forces near the settlements of Debaltseve, Nikishyno, Chernukhine, Ridkodub the day before; they also carried out artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions at the Donetsk airport and near the settlements of Pisky and Myrna Dolyna using BM-21 Grad systems, and on a Ukrainian stronghold near Talakovka using tanks", the statement reads.

ATO forces open fire only "on rebels' fire positions which are situated outside permanently inhabited locations", the press centre stressed.

Tymchuk: "Russian mercenaries" have arrived in Donetsk, and Russian supplies in Alchevsk

A group of Russian mercenaries trained in the Crimea have arrived in Donetsk; former local policemen are recruited for units intended for assaulting the airport "Donetsk", Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on his  Facebook Wall on the morning of October 13.

"A group of Russian mercenaries   (up to 100 people) has come to Donetsk; all of them were trained in the occupied Crimea. The group is divided into units, and is armed and equipped very well ", Tymchuk reports.

In addition, according to the IR group, the terrorists try to form "special units" of former police officers in several settlements of Donetsk region.

"One of their tasks is participation in assaults on the Donetsk airport. There is widespread reluctance of former local policemen to join such "units", he adds.

At the same time, local "policeman offices" in the settlements controlled by the PRL terrorists respond only to emergency calls in connection with murders, and recommend to contact a military commandant's office in other cases", Tymchuk said.

Heletey: Kremlin orders Russian troops to step back from Ukraine territory

Former Defence Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Heletey has said that the Russian regular troops are leaving the territory of Donbas.

"Today we're witnesses how Kremlin makes relative orders regarding the withdrawal of the Russian Armed Forces from the territory of Ukraine, regarding their deployment to the barracks on the territory of Russia," the minister said in Kyiv on Monday.

He said that this is an evidence of efficient actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who halted Russia aggression not just near Ilovaysk (Donetsk region), but near Luhansk as well.

"Russian troops starting from August 1 were on the territory of Ukraine, first battles started on the territory of Ukraine with the Russian armed forces from August 20 during the attack on the Luhansk airport," the ex-defence minister said.

On Sunday evening Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko accepted resignation of Defence Minister Valeriy Heletey.

The Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) has reported the death of another Armed Forces serviceman in Donbas.

The National Security and Defence Council has confirmed that Russia is drawing part of its troops away from the Ukrainian border, a spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing.

"We have been informed that those military units that had been transferred to the Ukrainian border, but stationed in Russian territory living in the field camps are now being curtailed, and withdrawn to the locations of their permanent stationing",  Lysenko said.

At the same time, Russia continues to send mercenaries trained in Russian field camps to Ukraine.

He also stresses that supplies of gunmen are now not as big as they used to be.

However, the OSCE mission said it did not have information on the scheduled withdrawal of Russian troops from the border.

"We have not seen, and have not been informed about the withdrawal of heavy armament", head of the special OSCE Observer Mission in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan said in a statement.

The Russian Defence Ministry said earlier that military formations and units of the Southern military command had started returning to the locations of their permanent stationing.
