Volunteers have found 150 dead bodies near the town of Illovaysk

Volunteers found 150 more dead bodies near the town of Illovaysk. In their opinion, the majority of these perished people have not been listed yet, Yaroslav Zhylkin, the leader of the group investigating casualties, said as reported by Kyiv Post.

According to Zhylkin, most dead bodies were found near the town of Starobeshevo, where a column of Ukrainian military got under fire of the Russian Army in spite of a reached agreement that was supposed to give them a chance to leave the territory freely.

At the same time, 21 unidentified soldiers were buried on Thursday in Dnipropetrovsk according to Kommersant.

50 attacks on ATO forces: The situation is especially tense near the settlements of Smile, Pisky, Debaltseve and the Donetsk airport

The rebels attacked positions of ATO forces in Donbas more than 50 times in the past 24 hours, Dmytro Tymchuk, the head of the Information Resistance group, wrote on his  Facebook Wall on the morning of October 17.

The attack was carried out by mortars, volley fire systems, cannons, tanks and small arms.

Rebels have transferred Russian equipment to the uptown of Mariupol

Military equipment was transferred from the RF territory to the suburbs of Mariupol, the head of the Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk reports.

According to him, the terrorist forces are gathering near Novoazovsk at the moment.

"2 military convoys consisting of 10 trucks each have plunged into Ukraine from the Russian side heading for Novoazovsk district since yesterday. The columns consisted of trucks, coaches, and tank trucks", he says.

He also stresses that some materiel has been transferred from Novoazovsk district in the direction of Mariupol.

A confluence of Russian military hardware has been detected near the settlement of Shyrokine.

Additionally, a one-hundred-strong group of rebels has been spotted near the town of Chervonoarmiyske-Kozatske.

3 soldiers killed and 10 wounded in the past 24 hours in the ATO area

3 Ukrainian service members died, and 10 others were wounded in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko reported at a briefing.

"In total, 3 people died and 10 others were wounded as a result of armed clashes and shell strikes in the past 24 hours, he said.

EU includes Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine into European Gas Stress Test

The European Commission has included Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine in the European Gas Stress Test to see how Europe would cope in the worst-case scenario of restricted gas supplies, Vice President of the European Commission for Energy Gunther Oettinger said at a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.

Ukraine is an important partner today which aspires for tighter association with the European Union, he said. Oettinger said that the country needs gas badly and additionally it is a gas transiting country.

The European Commission had studied elaborately the possible consequences, for example, if Russia stops gas supplies, and what may happen if Ukraine does not fulfil its transit functions. This is the worst scenario we have presented for the EU members and EU partners in the stress test, he said.

Oettinger added that he would go to Kyiv soon to hold consultations with Ukrainian partners and then a trilateral meeting regarding gas supplies arranged between the EU, Russia and Ukraine will be held in Brussels.

Citizens trying to confront insolent Russian Cossacks in Lugansk region

Russian Cossacks, who control Antratsyt, banned local residents from using their cars in the city, Head of the Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk wrote in Facebook.

“A ban has been introduced in the town of Antratsyt on using private transport. This decision was made by Russian Cossacks, who proclaimed themselves to be the local “authority,” Tymchuk wrote.
