Russian fourth humanitarian convoy set off for Donbas on Tuesday
Russia has announced sending on Tuesday its fourth convoy carrying "humanitarian aid" to Ukraine, the Russian Emergency Ministry reports according to Interfax.
"A REM column of trucks (up to 50 trucks) is due to set off for Donbas on 28 October 2014, at 15:00 from Noginsk carrying aid to residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions", a statement reads.
The Ministry also says that the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) did not participate in organizing the convoy.
Meanwhile, Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said on Tuesday that Ukraine had received no official information on any humanitarian aid arriving from Russia.
ATO forces shelled near the Donetsk airport, Debaltseve and in the South
Insurgents fired upon positions of the Ukrainian Army near the Donetsk airport and the town of Debaltseve as well as in the South of the ATO area at night,
ATO press centre reported on the morning of 28 July.
"Rebels attempted an attack on one of subdivisions of ATO forces near Talakivka. The assault was repelled, no casualties were reported among Ukrainian military", the press centre informed.
Information Resistance: Troops of the Russian Federation are massed in Rostov region near the border
According to data provided by the "Information Resistance" group, Russian troops continue to be deployed in Rostov region close to border areas of the RF, Dmytro Tymchuk wrote in Facebook on the morning of October 28.
"In particular, units of the 2nd Taman tank division (m/u 23626, Moscow region) and of 2nd separate brigade of CIA special troops (m/u 64044, Pskov) have been detected near the frontier", he reports.
Militants have tried to get into Mariupol from the Eastern side; shooting could be heard
Reconnaissance-subversive groups of rebels tried to enter into Mariupol from the East, but soldiers of the "Azov" battalion spotted them in time, the Mariupol defence headquarters reported on the morning of 28 July.
"The night in Mariupol and on the city outskirts was relatively quiet", a representative of headquarters said.
"Today, positions of Ukrainian military stationed near the settlement of Pavlopol were fired upon at 6:25 from the territory temporarily controlled by terrorists. Rebels used mortars and Grad volley fire systems (MLRS). No casualties were reported", the defence headquarters said.
2 servicemen were killed in the past 24 hours
2 soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours of the anti-terrorist operation, a spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council information centre (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing.
According to him, apart from those dead, two others were wounded.
He also noted that terrorists' activity increased during last 24 hours. Insurgents continue to bombard the Donetsk airport and the adjacent settlements of Avdiivka and Pisky.
Terrorists also suffered losses. A company stronghold of ATO forces was shelled by Grad volley fire systems and mortars three times yesterday. The artillery attack was resumed on Tuesday morning.
