200 militants killed near Donetsk airport in past 24 hours
The press centre for the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine has said that the troops defending the Donetsk airport have eliminated about 200 militants in the past 24 hours.
"The militants, who were firing at the Ukrainian military positions on the grounds of Donetsk Airport yesterday, were eliminated by artillery units of the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) forces. Verified information suggests that the firing raid has destroyed or damaged four tanks, two armoured personnel carriers, two howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles and killed up to 200 militants," according to the press centre’s Facebook page.
Tymchuk: Insurgents use the truce as a cover for expanding control over occupied territories
The so-called two month ceasefire in Donbas resulted in loosing control over even bigger part of the ground and more than 100 deaths, Head of the Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk drew conclusions in his Facebook.
"It should finally be made clear that a "peace treaty" is a cover that allows terrorist troops to further spread around the region taking advantage of passivity of ATO forces", Tymchuk said.
NSDF: 32 tanks and 16 howitzers transferred to Krasny Luch
Russia continues to move its troops to the territory of Ukraine, which is temporarily occupied by terrorists, a spokesman for the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko said on Friday.
"The Russian Federation has not ceased supplying materiel and personnel to the ATO area," Lysenko added.
"The redeployment of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front line is still going on. ATO forces are getting prepared for an adequate response to every situation", Lysenko said.
