Dzobak Volodymyr Dzobak Volodymyr

UK Prime Minister: Putin won't confine himself to his aggression against Ukraine

British Prime Minister David Cameron is convinced that the Russian Federation will not limit itself only to its aggression against Ukraine and may attack the Baltic States, according to what he told in an interview with American media, as reported by Channel 5.

He stressed that Putin would not confine himself only to his aggression against Ukraine; moreover, he may launch an attack on the Baltic States and other countries. According to the prime minister, new sanctions are needed to stop Putin.

Russia has to respect the borders of other states, if it is to be part of the world in the 21st century. Otherwise, it will lose privileges of the contemporary world, such as free trade and exchange of information.

Also, Cameron noted that the world community was not ready at the moment to solve the crisis in Ukraine with the help of armaments, but could sway Russia economically.

In his opinion, Russia needs the West much more, than vice versa, and further economic sanctions may have unacceptable financial and economic effects on the Russian Federation for many years to come.
