On Tuesday, April 28, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a bill # 2178-10 on the land market.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President.
"This is a historic moment for all Ukrainians and for me personally. Ukraine has been waiting for this law since independence. It was not an easy fight. But we knew that we were doing it for Ukrainians," Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Bill No. 2178-10 is officially entitled "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Conditions of Turnover of Agricultural Land." It creates the conditions for the launch of agricultural land market turnover in Ukraine.
According to the law, its effective date is July 1, 2021. However, the first two years will be able to buy land only individuals-citizens of Ukraine and no more than 100 hectares in one hand. For the next two years, the legal entities, also Ukrainian ones, will be able to buy the land, no more than 10 thousand hectares in one hand. Foreigners will only be able to sell land after the referendum. State and communal agricultural land will not be sold.
