What that the government of Azarov called pension reform, in fact - patching holes in pension funds and in the budget. This opinion was expressed in an exclusive commentary to UBR.UA by Volodymyr Dziobak Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Association of Retired Persons.
"In fact, in my opinion, this is not a reform. I think this is unacceptable from any point of view. Because they (pensioners - Ed.) already set in very difficult conditions. And if the pensioner now working, he should be relieved of all pension charges, because he had already earned his pension,"- said Dziobak.
Let us recall, expenses of the state budget of Ukraine for 2010 includes 72.1 billion hryvnia transfers to the Pension Fund (PF). This is stated in the letter of the Government of Ukraine to the International Monetary Fund Director (IMF), Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
Also the government of Mykola Azarov promises to reform the pension system. "As the first step we will reduce payments to working pensioners by reducing their pension up to 50% of the total amount (but not below the poverty line). We are also reforming the Mechanism of pension accrual ..." - reported our officials to Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
