“Ukrainian pensioners are the most active depositors in deposit accounts”, - said Olexander Okhrimenko, a financial expert, during a press conference on "HolosUA".
"Yes, our pensioners are not very rich, but they are very economical and often put money on deposits even though amounts are only small", - said the expert.
Also O. Okhrimenko said that taking into consideration the economic situation in our country, natural persons should execute 50% of payments in local currency and 50% in foreign currency. In case of devaluation, the currency deposit will stabilise Hryvnia, and in case the rate of exchange remains stable, Hryvnia deposit will provide a good income.
The Expert also advised to choose terms for deposits from three months up to a year. It is not worth to put money for a longer period.
In the end, Alexander Okhrimenko reminded, that the Tax Code of Ukraine introduced new regulations on taxation of deposits from January 1, 2014.
