Dzobak Volodymyr Dzobak Volodymyr

Russian armoured vehicle with soldiers' records inside has been seized during a battle near Lugansk

Ukrainian service members seized a Russian armoured vehicle BMD-2 with papers left by officers inside near the village of Georgiivka (Lutugin district in Lugansk region), journalist Roman Bochkala posted on his Facebook wall.

"On-board number 275, 1st Airborne Company, Army Unit 74268, Pskov Airborne Division (platoon commander Senior Lieutenant Popov) ", the journalist reports.

"You can see now a fighting machine and a machine gun with the name of a machine-gunner (Private Surnachov N.) on it in the following pictures. The same name and surname was taken down in a register which in normally used for so-called evening checks", Bochkala added.

The journalist says that some of soldiers on the list were born in 1994.

"That means that Putin might be short of experienced recruits if he had decided to send raw troops to fight in battles", he believes.

According to Bochkala, one soldier's wife from Pskov confirmed that Russian service men had been sent to Ukraine to fight.

In turn, a spokesman for the National Security Council Andriy Lysenko announced at a briefing that two armoured vehicles had been captured. According to him, a map case which used to belong to platoon leader Guards lieutenant Popov was also found in the vehicle.

"There was a family with a 5-year-old child in it. The father and the child died on the scene. The woman died when being attended to by Ukrainian military doctors", Lysenko added.

As of Thursday, the customs clearance of the Russian humanitarian aid was not carried out. However, all the orders to start the customs registration as soon as possible have already been issued, a spokesman for the National Security Council Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing.

"The Ukrainian part will start to do their job without delay, once a final confirmation from the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding its readiness to deliver goods to the point of destination has been received", Lysenko reports.
